               SUBJECT:                     Approve Purchase of Kubota Configurator
               ____________________________________________________________________________

               SUMMARY
               The Public Works Street Department has identified the need for a utility vehicle to support street
               maintenance, inspections, and other departmental operations. The Kubota D2206 RTV has been
               evaluated and deemed suitable for departmental needs due to its performance, reliability, and
               compatibility with existing fleet equipment.

               A key factor in the selection of this vehicle is its enhanced safety features, including turn signals, brake
               lights, and headlights. These features are essential during the town’s event season when staff are often
               required to operate vehicles in pedestrian-heavy areas and after daylight hours. The inclusion of these
               safety elements makes the Kubota RTV an ideal choice for both operational functionality and public
               safety.

               The department proposes purchasing the Kubota RTV from Burke Equipment Co. at a total cost of
               $23,835.

               Financial Overview
               This purchase will be funded through a reallocation of existing capital purchase funds in the Public
               Works Street Department as follows:
                   •  $20,000 from the Zero Turn Mower project, originally funded by Highway User Revenue Funds,
                       which has been deferred.
                   •  $4,000 from the Ford F250 Truck line item, originally budgeted at $65,000 but purchased for
                       $61,000, yielding surplus funds.

               This reallocation fully covers the $23,835 cost of the Kubota RTV without requiring additional budget
               appropriations.

               RECOMMENDATIONS
               Staff recommends that the Mayor and Council approve the following actions:
                   •  Approve Purchase Request #202600343 to Burke Equipment Co. in the amount of $23,835 for
                       one Kubota D2206 RTV.
                   •  Approve the reallocation of $24,000 in capital purchase funding from the Zero Turn Mower and
                       Ford F250 budget lines, as detailed above, to fund this purchase.
