RESOLUTION NO. 2025-06

A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF BERLIN UPDATING AND
AMENDING THE GENERAL FEE SCHEDULE.

WHEREAS, The Mayor and Council of the Town of Berlin, at a Public Hearing on Monday, August 11,
2025, amended the Code of the Town of Berlin, Chapter 8, Businesses, Article III, Peddling and Soliciting
to include Section 8-55. FEES through Ordinance 2025-04 and effective September 1, 2025.

WHEREAS, the amendment indicated above included the removal from the Town Code of language
indicating specific dollar amounts to be paid by relevant parties for a Peddlers and Solicitors permit.

WHEREAS, by this Resolution, the Mayor and Council establishes the fees for a Peddlers and Solicitors
permit as follows:

Peddlers and Solicitors permit per year for the Company/Agency/Organization applying shall be
at the same rate as a standard Town of Berlin Business License and subject to any future adjustments of
that license fee; and

Additionally, the Company/Agency/Organization applying for and receiving such a Peddlers and
Solicitors permit will also be subject to a fee per each individual person who will be conducting the
business of the Company/Agency/Organization within the Town and for the period indicated.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Berlin hereby amends the Fee Schedule attached
hereto as Attachment A to add the dollar amounts indicated specifically for the Peddlers and Solicitors
Permit; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Resolution does not preclude the Mayor and Council from
consideration of further adjustment to the fee schedule as required or recommended from time-to-time
in the intervening years, nor does the Fee Schedule expire or become invalid if not updated prior to the
end of fiscal year indicated.
