Despite the enthusiasm, some concerns were raised. Issues related to location and
accessibility, particularly for families with young children, were noted. Financial sustainability was
also questioned, with some suggesting that resources be used to improve existing amenities
instead of building new ones.
The survey results highlight several major themes: strong support for youth and fitness-
oriented programs, high demand for multipurpose and recreational spaces, and a clear
expectation of frequent usage. Ensuring the center’s inclusivity and accessibility will be critical to
its success. In conclusion, by addressing the community’s needs and suggestions, the Town of
Berlin has the opportunity to create a dynamic, well-utilized community center that enhances the
quality of life for its residents.
