Figure 28: Dot Voting Activity: Historic Display Mood Board
• The inclusion of Town history, presented in a visual timeline, is very important.
• Community members greatly liked the idea of an interactive, tactile display that would offer
appeal to younger residents.
• Most importantly, the feeling was that the Community Center needs to link East and West
Berlin.
• Have the display flow throughout the building, not just housed in a single room or section.
o Include historical information in external spaces too.
• Displays should be interactive.
o Displays should be easily updated – locally produced videos, touch screens, tactile.
• Include section on how government works so that residents know how to be involved in local
and higher government levels.
• History of both East and West Berlin
• Include portions about ancestry and possibly a way to research one’s family.
• Include a portion dedicated to music and the arts in the area.
